Oda a la bella desnuda/Ode to a Beautiful Nude is a unique artist book, which includes the poem written by Pablo Neruda, with seven original drawings by Manuel Neri. The poem Oda a la bella desnuda was included in Neruda’s book of poems Nuevas odas elementales, first published in 1955, © Pablo Neruda and Fundación Pablo Neruda; and published in English in Selected Poems by Pablo Neruda, edited by Nathaniel Tarn and published by Jonathan Cape Ltd., London, © 1970 Jonathan Cape Ltd., translated into English by Nathaniel Tarn. The ink, charcoal, and graphite drawings by Manuel Neri are studies done in 1983 for a series of marble relief sculptures, and were selected by Manuel Neri to accompany the poem for this book.
